For almost 30 years, Tecton have been helping to keep the British public safe and secure as they go about their daily business. These systems cater for a wide variety of challenges, from terrorism to petty crime, and from accidents to public safety at events, but they all share the need to be working optimally when needed. Tecton, more than any other manufacturer, has defined dependability. Our products are designed, by us, in our UK factory, to work for at least 10 years. We still support every product we've ever made, and don't turn support calls away because a product is 15 years old or more. How many of our competitors can say that?
Public space systems generally have lots of cameras. The Tecton philosophy has always been to remove single points of failure, so regardless of how many cameras are present, a Tecton system will built upon a backbone of highly reliable distributed recording units.
Each recording "block" is designed with low power consumption as a primary design aim. This has several advantages, beyond the obvious point of lower electricity bills.
Low power consumption equates to less heat being generated by the equipment, which in turn is less heat the user has to extract from the environment with costly air-conditioning.
The advantages don't end there; less heat means Tecton recorders don't have to run noisy high speed fans, so the equipment is quiet, and fans getting clogged up will never become a maintenance and service issue.
The Longevity of Tecton products is something our customers value and can rely upon, and low power consumption is one element of the many factors leading to the extraordinary robustness of our equipment.
The British Library houses over 150 Million items, from daily newspapers to literally priceless historical relics. Clearly, security is important to this national institution. Find out how Tecton helped the transition to HD video surveillance and recording.
Tecton has a long established record of supplying the UK rail networks, so it's perhaps no surprise that the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) is one of the many rail projects that is protected by Tecton designed and manufactured equipment.
We're proud to provide our products to some of the most recognisable names in the UK.
“Having used Tecton equipment within the control room since the beginning we knew about the reliability and the fact that the products are built to last.”Neil Harvey, Operations & Compliance Officer CCTV, Nottingham City Council
